.......I really like the "Examiner's " 100 Years Ago feature.........how about you?........it always intrigues me as a  "slice of history" is revealed......it wouldn't hurt my feelings to expand it a bit..............

A book signing was held with the authors of the book, "Images of America: Independence", Richard Piland and Marietta Wilson Boenker, today at the Scandinavia Place. There was a steady flow of people keeping the authors pretty busy!

And what a wonderful book. I will spend many, many hours enjoying it. Besides all of the vintage images, there is a ton of our town's history covered in this book.

There will be two more book signings this weekend and I hope that many of you will attend:
