Praising the Examiner's Service
I would like to thank the Examiner for getting an obituary in at 3:59pm at their office last Thursday.
My wife and I had been running for two days to get everything in line for a memorial service and I assumed the office hours at the Examiner was 5. Unfortunately it was not what was written on the door. They close at 4pm which is the time it said on my phone.
But the door was unlocked and we walked in. Someone took our information right away and didn't act hurried when my wife had to run back out to the car to get the photo.

Introduction
Hello all,
Just a brief introduction, if you don't mind.
My name is Bill Ivie and I am the new Manager of Information Technology for The Examiner. I am new to the area and still getting settled in, but look forward to getting acclimated and checking out the sights and sounds of Independence and the surrounding areas.
I have four children and am very much a "family man". I am a baseball historian that studies the game and everything about it extensively. I have a degree in Computer Programming and Network Management and have a very diverse background.
