Crime in Independence
Man in Fairmount has been robbed of all that he owned
A nice lady just left my shop who told me her neighbor who is retired was robbed of all he owned when he took his wife to the unemployment office yesterday. We have an eyewitness who saw a Gray Ford F1 50 in the front of the home. The driver was said to be 35-40 years of age. These people need our help. They live on Evanston. This may not be much to go on but keep your eyes open. If I lost all that I had I would hope people would try and help me. This is all I know. He lost all of his TV's microwave and much more. He was crying out in his front yard when he got home.

Examiner Reporter Michael Glover
Michaei thank you for the story on page A8 June 20-21-22. As a bussiness owner I don't want crime around my shop. I want to live and work in a safe enviroment. I have a duty to the families that I serve to do my part to see that we push crime away from us. This week we had an innocent man putting his golf clubs away when two Hispanic males approached him and said "Give me your money." When the 30 year old man turned to run they stabbed him in the back with a knife. Officers found the handle of the knife about 25 feet away from the vicitim.
