I'm loving the throwbacks uniforms the Chiefs and Chargers are rocking.
 
There's a lot of enrgy in the stadium today.
 
Not a good way for the Chiefs to start today's game. After forcing San Diego to punt, the Chiefs offense went three and out and the defense then gives up a touchdown.
 
 
Haley's gamble on fourth down comes up short. Let's see if the Chiefs respond

hi there this is my first time blogging...but I just wanted to know, does anyone know if the state of missouri did away with inmates haveing to serve 85% of there time before they can be paroled?
 

I was just wondering if anybody here has kids who are selling those Entertainment 2010 coupon books and actually has them on-hand?
 
The only ads for them that I've seen posted at work were for:
 
a) Somebody wanting you to order them off of their website....and wait two weeks.
 
b) Somebody wanting you to pay them up-front....and then wait two weeks.
 
 

Well Well The Good Old Blogs have worked their magic once again. The City of Independence must LOVE the blogs. It always puts them in such a unique light. I only wish all the readers would join in with us because this is just such a great way to network and to build partnerships. It's so good to see the parks get cleaned up.   xox

I'm so upset at the way things are on my kids bus ride to and from school, the last couple of days have been hell for my daughter, there are several girls on the bus that are so in-mature they have called her nappy haired (you know what) and so on , I'm called the bus barn and school and of course we have to wait for someone to get back with us, but my daughter is so sick of it. I also have a son that rides the same bus this year and he stood up yesturday and told them to shut up that his sister does not have nappy hair that they did, Go!!

My wife wants us to take the grandkids (ages 3 and almost-5) to see it this weekend.   I'm hesitant, because I read quotes twice online this week, where somebody has said that it's rather scary and is "more adult" than one might thing...plus they say it's not really all that fun for kids.
 
But my wife says the movie reviewer on that CBS Sunday Morning show said it was excellent and was the most fun movie he's seen in a while.
 
 

......I remember times when "the neighborhood" brought fruit baskets to newcomers..........I've met several newcomers to the neighborhood lately and NOBODY has given them a fruit basket yet........what gives folks?.............how bout a loaf of bread or a cake or SOMETHING?................lol...........show a little hospitality..........

On the Chamber of Commerce's website, there is a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for Nuts & Bolts on Noland Rd 11/11/09 at 4:00pm.  That store has been there for quite a while now.  Is the chamber so busy with new openings in Independence they have to wait this long?

.......there you go ladies.........it's long been said that "when mama's happy , EVERYBODY'S happy"............and this info comes from the #1 circulation newspaper in the U.S...............it would appear that housework amps up the little lady.............who knew?...........
 
 

My dad fell and broke his hip a few weeks ago and I feel like my whole life has changed. I've been living with my dad since my mother died in 2001 and, until now, he's always been perfectly capable of not only taking care of himself but me and my daughter too. He cooked, did the grocery shopping, even went to an exercise class 2 or 3 times a week. He's still in rehab and doing great but this is really, really hard for all of us and I was just wondering if any of you have been through this and what were your ups and downs.

 
Does anyone out there in blogland know the answer to this question? I can't for the life of me think of one single thing.
 

......it is my contention that nuclear weapons should have won the Nobel Peace Prize instead of Obama.............and I will post why shortly........our only salvation with this "community organizer" as our commander in chief is that he will be gone in  three years................place your bets at the window folks.........unless the GOP completely loses their minds and nominates  Sarah Palin..........the thought of eight Obama years is absolutely mind numbingly scary..........
