He was threaten at the behest of a legislator who disagreed with him and used the power of his office to try and intimidate him, and shut him up, with threat of force by a Marshal.
Then the over zealous Marshal made the mistake more costly by putting his hands on him.
This is an abuse of power by a cowardly county official.
It can not be tolerated in any degree, by freedom loving people.
We ban together to defend him this time, we may have to come together to defend YOU next time…

I don't know if it's just EJC that has a corner on elected officials with this "I've been duly elected, and my feces now smells like ice cream!" syndrome - we see it on the city councils, the Jackson County Legislature, oh, and of course, on the KCMO School Board.
While I'm not an anarchist, seeing the dregs of society we manage to install in public office sometimes makes me consider the anarchist viewpoint.

Good men turn to other tasks for a minute and think things are OK.

Three branches of government are supposed to have defined limitations of power. When Legislators over reach, into the judiciary (law enforcement), they try to contol more than they are permitted. Our absent Executive Mike Sanders is too busy chasing his dreams to wake up and smell the roses.
So now it is up to law enforcement to take back what is rightfully theirs to assert --- the LAW. They have been given a very big pile of information, today. This could restore the balance of power in Jackson County for a very long period of time.
