Peace at any Price

I am weary of Mr. "Peace at any Price" Everett. He is angry at the loss of 400 military over five years to deliver Kurds and other Iraquis from the "Butcher of Baghdad." Yet he supports the destruction of 1.2 million (Guttmacher Institute data) unborn children each year within our own borders. Legalized abortion on demand has continued for 35 years. Do the math. The Good Book states,"Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter," Proverbs 24:11.

Always have been weary of the ex-CIA, mormon.

You meant 4000 I think but that's ok. Although any loss of our soldiers is tragic, when compared to deaths in other wars and battles this is an excellent stat.

That is a very ignorant argument. A total slap in the face to all of the families who have lost a family member. If you dont believe in abortion dont have one.

Do you believe we should legislate morality in this country? If so, whose morals should make the law? Whose religion should we base our laws on? Should it be yours? Should it be jewish law, mormon law, christian law, muslim law, buddhist law? What do you envison? SHould you be able to tell me where I can go to church this weekend or who I can fall in love with?

I don't expect anyone to understand, it would require some reasoning and there's very little of it on this site.

I’m not sure where you're going with the morality question. Our forefathers based our laws on the Ten Commandments. I envision that we remain with it. It shouldn't conflict with anyone's person morality. Oh there's the radical Muslim that believes if you won't convert to their beliefs then they should kill you. Hum? that might be why our brave are fighting them. If you're chicken stay in the coup but don't discount a soldier's life because you disagree with policy. That's ignorant and disrespectful. And yes soldier's families can be ignorant and disrespectful to their lost, we all know Cindy Sheehan.

I am very reasonable.

Our laws were based upon the quaker religion. Radical muslims are no different than radical christians, they do NOT represent the majority of their religion. You should not state that the majority of that religion is unreasonable because that is not an accurate statement.

I think almost every day about the lives that have been lost in this war. I would never discount anyones life.

I am saying that if you try to legislate morality this would become a sad nation. On of our founding principles is freedom of religion.

We have the right to choose many things including whether to terminate a pregnancy or not. If you choose not to that is your right and if others choose to end a pregnancy that is their right.

Just where did I state that majority of muslims are unreasonable. You're putting words in my mouth and they taste like crap. You can choose to have an abortion, legally that is your right. I keep my opinion of the morality of it to myself.
