I don't live in the USA but I still love your country!
And to me it seems like a ‘ battle' between the two nominated candidates: Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. A good friend of me, who lives in Las Vegas wrote about politics:
We could have the first woman or black president in 2008
Have you been following our politics? We could have the first woman or black president in 2008, and I truly believe things will improve significantly with the change!
My reaction "I'm 100% with Mrs. Clinton, and I hope that she will become the first female president of the USA. I truly think that Obama is not ready to become president because he is less experienced than Hillary and the world needs an experienced president. I think that Hillary is the right answer in our troubled world. On the website of the New York Times I read that Hillary won in Nevada on January 19, 2008."
Mrs. Clinton would be a great president.
I believe that Mrs. Clinton would be a great president for the USA because she has a lot of experience and that's what America needs right now and the rest of the world too. Troubled times need an experienced leader and Hillary is the right answer if you ask me.

I am not big on politics but I will say my peace about this woman. You can take it how you please and I am not trying to start a debate unless that is what you want going on in here!
My opinion about the "experience" is this the first few presidents that we ever had were they all "very well experinced"? I doubt it but the country did just fine back then and that was before we got Millions of dollars in debt from the government doing what they "suppose" is right.
Besides that I also think of it this way is America really ready for a Woman President? I am not quite so sure that we are. Women in gereral (yes I am a female so I am not dissing on the gender just making a point) are a little more sensitive than men what is to say she will not break down the first time we go to war or something of that nature while she is President. I just totally disagree with all the people who back her. I am for Obama this year (I usually vote democrate) but if she is the choice than I will vote for McCain cause I just really dont agree with her stand on things where as Obama is really down to earth and just more like a friend to everyone. He is the candidate for me and I agree with almost all of his opinions on things.

One lady told me the kids were told to hold Hillary signs up and one kid left the stage and refused and was not going to do it. These kids sure didn't look happy. These kids support Obama

No matter what your political views, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids. It would be an honor to stand on the stage with a former president. Why is it necessary to find a way to turn it into a negative experience? It is immature and pathetic.
Especially those who just came of age to vote, have every right to not be used by a press gang for ANYONE.
To act as though one should put aside their beliefs, no matter how misguided (how about those who are religious, some may think they are misguided, yet no one would expect them to stand and honor one out of their religion simply because it's an honor to others)they may or may not be, is really pathetic.
The girl is 18, an adult, and had every right to walk off that stage with disgust, be it she didn't agree with being a political pawn, or be it she wasn't told she'd have to stand there all the time.
Her rights may have been stomped and I applaud her VERY adult reasoning to walk off sick, rather than to toss a teenage fit like so many kids do these days.
If they had grabbed up my kid and decided to use them as a back drop at 18, I'd praise my child for thinking for herself and taking a stand.
If she were under 18, heads would roll. This is similar to the photo op kids were in holding up the sign to save their schools during the take over of KCMO school district, anyone who thinks they have the right to use another's child for political means, needs their butt put back in line, maybe Clinton should have brought his own child to stand behind him? Maybe they should have made sure the kids WANTED to be used that way.
Why is it okay to think these young adults should just swallow their own ideals they are growing into simply so they can experience what YOU think to be an "honor"?
Why should any child be told their thoughts and their beliefs don't matter over someone else's idea of an "honor"? This isn't about anyon'es political views aside from those kids.
To think today's youth have no idea what is going on around them is really ignorant. And it's part of why our society turned to crap.Treating kids as stupid bystanders we control until their in their 20's is pathetic.
A characteristic of the normal child is he doesn't act that way very often. ~Author Unknown

That todays kids have no idea of what is going on around them or treating them as "stupid bystanders"? It is truly an honor to stand on a stage with a former President, no matter what your "thoughts and beliefs" are. It is a matter of teaching your kids RESPECT.
My kids are in tune to current affairs and are able to intelligently discuss their beliefs and why they feel as they do on certain subjects. They have however been taught to show respect to both their elders and diplomatic officials. What is this world coming to if you can't even expect people to show other people respect? Perhaps our society is turning to crap since people feel there is no need to respect others.
There are plenty of politicians that I dislike, however I would never treat them with disrespect.
The kind where this young adult exercised her free will and thought of her own? I'm sorry.
How again, did quietly leaving the stage sick show disrespect?
Or is this the simple fact they were bull dozed therefore should stand no matter what because YOU think they must respect an ex President?
Holding a sign saying Hillary, is SUPPORTING the candidate.
Is making a kid support someone they may not respectful?
Is that what you teach your kids as respect?
That as long as someone is older or a Politician respect is doing what you are told no matter what you think personally?
Are you kidding me?
It's an honor is they're interested in it to see Clinton speak, it's a turn off on politics and adults to be forced to smile and show his wife support.
Sorry.

You're gonna snark at him about his comment, then say "These kids support Obama"?
That's freakin' stupid. I think the kid that left the stage refusing to hold a Hillary sign ROCKS, while you've got those same ROCKS in your head with your blanket statement.
Most of the kids standing behind the former philanderer-in-chief were pressganged by Clinton's mafiosi-like staff. I'd bet you a buck that most of them have no idea who they'd vote for, except maybe for the select few who have the intellect to evaluate the candidates based upon their records, not their TV commercials.
It's all Hollywood anyway - style over substance, feel good over hard facts.
But saying "These kids support Obama" was flat stupid.
The kid that left the stage was sick - she left the stage because she felt like she was going to pass out.
The Clinton campaign staff came over to the band and asked for 10 students to stand behind Mr. Clinton as he spoke. They were not chosen for their political leanings, but as windowdressing for the event. Yes, they were handed signs.
They look unhappy because they had no idea they'd be standing there the entire time Mr. Clinton spoke. Standing like that is not fun.
And yes, I was there. My son was one of the ones drafted to act as a backdrop.

She is one of several who saw that their young rights were being trampled on and were being manipulated. She was not sick physically just choose to see she was being used (holding the sign). She had recently obtained her voter's card and was very interested in how things are done. As an undecided voter she has been disillusioned by this experience.

Then she is being indoctrinated into the reality of elections and prepared for how they go. Many times, she will shake her head and wonder how someone was elected that wasn't who she thought was the best candidate.
To her..welcome to politics:
A worse system than the college football playoffs.
