President Elect Obama

I voted for Obama, not because I love everything he has to offer, but I felt his thinking was more like mine than McCain's. What I can't figure out is why he is continually called an African American? He is bi-racial, 50% African American and 50% Caucasian. Wouldn't it be better for race relations to acknowledge that fact? It seems to me by labeling him as an African American, you are downplaying his mother's ethnicity. Does this bother anyone else?

President Obama

He is President Elect Obama, soon to be President Obama. Just like President Bush. What he does is much more important than his heritage, but would it not be even better if he produced a legit birth certificate so we know he is whom he says he is?

It doesn't bother you that he has still not produced a birth certificate that is verifiable? McCain, Nadar, makes no difference, I would expect the same from anyone.

They require kids to have ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATES to play in youth sporting events, it is not that difficult.

Why is it he has not produced a legit certificate?

I would say first things first.

The CIA, FBI and

a host of all sorts of other government agencies go through these people's backgrounds like nobody's business. If he didn't have a legitimate birth certificate then he wouldn't have been able to run. He has posted his birth certificate on his website, factcheck.org has posted his birth certificate as well.

The election is over. Obama won. We don't need people bringing up birth certificates, socialism, marxism, Ayres, or whatever else that was brought up with the election. Like it or not, you and everybody else is stuck with him for the next 4 years.

What bothers me

is that we even have African Americans, Asian Americans, or Mexican Americans. If you were born or naturalized in the United States, you are Americans period.

Pretty soon I'm going to be known as Irish, English, German, and a Native American. I think it's cool knowing your ancestry, but at the end of the day, we're just Americans.

Very good point…

Very good point…
I have thought about it, and this am on one of the news show a Black commentator said in our society if U have one drop of black blood Your are considered AA its been that way since civil War and if it changes now will be the time…
I did like the comments Obama made to Young people, pull your pants up, square your hat and go to school…I hope he follows through with that attitude…
