New Sign against Mayor Remial on Noland and up from the bus station

I was taking my daughter to school today . Going up Noland to William Chrisman High School, when I just happen to glance up and see this bill board against Remial. Do you all remember the first one that was put out against him a few months back? I do....
Any way this bill board stated something to this effect.....
Mayor Remial leave the local dollars for the local workers ,something about the local
electrian 371 of something like that .
Any way thought you all might get a kick out of it.
Yet once again another company under bid our local electrians and to save money Remial went with these other workers. I wonder if were starting to see a patteren here with Remial.
Maybe Remial is just trying to save some money for the city, so we can put it towards new police officers , and all the toys they need?
Who knows, just wanted to tell about the bill board

If the crowd ain't complaining about the City not hiring local...and instead went with the lowest bidder..... then the crowd's complaining that they spent too much money!
There's actually 2 of them that I have seen. The other one is going south on Noland by Kansas or Walnut Streets. It says something to the effect of Local Workers spend their money in Independence, why doesn't Reimal do the same thing?
that's been one of my big pet peeves about this group, they don't hire Local?
Their answer is By Law they have to go with the lowest Bidder?
I think we need to change the Law???
But of course a Co that has an office here and they all Live in BS or LS how does that help US?
Maybe they will buy Hockey Tickets????
If you want to change it you will need to change the city charter. Start your petition drive now.
I heard it was had something to do with the locals did not have the expertise in a particular area that was needed, I'm sure if you want the truth of what the signs are about maybe the city hall's reporter for the Examiner will check it out or email the Mayor. Mminnoe why don't you find out for us and let us know? There are always two sides to everything.

I think it was addressed during a council meeting. I thought this one was a different sign. Is it the same one as back a few months ago?
......but wouldn't letting them pay whatever a high bid is to locals lead to graft?.........price fixing by locals?.............why can't locals compete price wise?.........
I have gone to War with Weapons produced by the Lowest Bidder ???
It's not always a good thing?
.......if the quality and price are comparable then of course it's favorable to hire local people to do the work here......that's my stance......if I were building a house I would want the best work for the best price.......as would ANYBODY I know...........I still fail to understand why locals couldn't compete pricewise....unless illegals are being employed by the "big guys".........then crucify them............
Thats what happens out here we get a bid from a nice looking white kid and then 20 Non-English speaking workers show up and do the job???
I just don't believe the Council takes the time to talk to the Bidders, but I've been bitchin about this for 4 plus years???????????
