Watching the GM bail out debate…
It reminds me of the Russian weight lifters of the 70’s 80’s
They were breaking world records every time they lifted, but a new world record was only a 3 to 6 # increase and they got paid every time they broke a world record…
so they only lifted enough to get paid???
That’s what GM is doing, now the law is they have to make 30mpg cars by 2010, WOW they could make a car that gets 75 mpg today, they have them but why make em if U don’t have to???
They made good elect cars in 88 field tested 1,000 of them people liked them they were great… they collected them up all but about 5 and crushed them, then they and went to building the crap of the 90’s..
Why should we pay these people for treating us this way???
They have had our wrist tied to our ankles for 40 years…
that’s how long it’s been since they have made a good car at a fair price…
But they are all worth millions, why should we the taxpayers bail them out to keep screwing US ????
I don’t get it….
Let em crash and then offer us the very best car they can make and if its good enough well buy it in groves…
that will be there bail out, in the long run they will thank us for it… so will green piece. Global warming people, anti oil guys every one will be happy when they do the best they can….
