My computer crashed…
Mostly email …..
Well actually I worked on it, and now it doesn’t work very well.
I lost my email address book and It may be some where here in space that is retrievable but not so far…
After ten years of cooling down in the 70’ I got busy and in 81 I got a degree in Computer Science in Frisco.
First job was at Computer Land in Burlingame CA. service manager….
We were selling IBM PC with two 41/2” floppy’s and 128 K of memory for $5,000 and they were goin like hotcakes…
life was good….
I knew what I was doing…
I had a soft ware tech that was a Jamie Lee Curtis look alike..
I finally quit working with PC’sin 95 in Joplin Computer Patch, I went back to driven a Truck for CFI, the money was better and the work was more fun…
Now I have a 64 bit dual processor, with all the memory it will hold, two DVD’s and every type of reader there is and I have it screwed up most of the time….
But I have a very solid philosophy of repair work…
“it was broke when I started and if it’s still broke when I quit, what’s the diff????”
My only problem is when I start repairing I don’t have enough sense to stop, I get it about half a$$ working and keep right on going until it’s a boat anchor….
So after a week I have this one at least on line again, no email going out, address is still the same for incoming mail, and the phone works….
But there are a couple of DVD’s volunteering for boat anchor duty….
Any Sharpe soft ware XP type’s out there that think they could recover my phone book, I’ve got cookies………
