Well what irks me is they gave Dallas a LL even though the guy was a crook, and a Dozen people told them including the chief of the Poooliceeee, but they issued a LL and now its closed.
They gave the tool box one even though the neighbors begged them not to and we have our first shooting….
And then they tell this poor guy, running a nice store he can't sell beer…
Then act like it’s all, good we still love U keep your store open and lose money???
What’s funny though McClain has four LL on the square just as close to the church and the park etc… no one seems to care???
So U see the Pigs are more equal…

the people that own that country store are very nice....and it seems to me they are a heluva lot more responsible than most liquor sellers.
they are getting treated just like the owners of the gas station at 23rd and crysler... again "furriners"....see a pattern here??

Well, a couple of months ago
they, Tool Shed, showed up at a council meeting and requested a LL.
A few neighbors talked against it and Lucy and Jim S said they would go take a look they did and the next week they came back and voted for it sooooooooooooo.
Even as they were showing it on TV at least one of the stations said they thought it could be in Indep.

How did Independence issue a liquior license for the Tool Shed when it's in KC?

Are you sure it is in KC? Looking at map, it appears KC city limits are on North r/w of 40 hwy, but businesses are in Independence.

The city limits weave in and out around 40 hwy. It has a Kansas City address and I know they had on their sign "Smokers Welcome" which also means they are outside Indep city limiits. When they had the shooting a week ago, the tv station said it was in Kansas City.

I think the Tool Shed is kind of like F.O. District, they have one cities address but a different cities phone number thing. Or it an O'Reillys in Sugar Creek thing, they have 1/2 of their store in S.C. and the other 1/2 in Indep. So it wouldn't surprise me if the T.S. is the same way.... FYI, check into it....
The T.S. could be getting the benefits on K.C.MO, but pay taxes in Indep.

Then why did IPD respond too? I saw IPD and KCMO PD there when everything went down. That is why I said what I did, I didn't know that. Maybe IPD got their jurisdictions mixed up again, that would surprise anyone either. LOL

Go to City of Independence's webpage and try to look Tool Shed's liquor license up. You can't because it is in Kansas City.
Then why did the council issue it about two months ago?
It was on tv channel 7, set aside at first until Lucy and Schultz could go out and look ove rthe site have a beer etc.. then they voted for it and two LOL showed up and begged them not to aprove it, I know I'm nuts but I watched it,

The KCMO city website lists the Tool Shed under thier LL holders. The City of Indep does not. Are you sure you aren't thinking about the old Big Bob's Country Bunker west of Sterling?
