Guess I won't be drinking Starbucks anymore! ! !
Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there.
Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.
So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open..
I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting ..... street-to-street and house-to-house.
If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will never know.
Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

Also, don't forget that when the Twin Towers were hit the fire fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for water for the survivors and workers and Starbucks charged them! ! !
JUST A NOTE TO THIS; STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS..
GO GET 'EM AMERICA . STAND-UP FOR OURSELVES!

.........Aldi has good coffee at a good price..........unless you ENJOY paying $4 for a cup of coffee as compared to getting a POUND of German coffee or whatever for about $4..........but why bring this up?..........."grind your OWN beans instead of grinding your OWN gears"................ROFL..........

.......stratos has had a few and is sniping tonight.......one of his favorite MO's........he'll "pop in" from "time to time".......because he's a REAL blogger with REAL facts......not like mine from "The Wall Street Journal" or the Associated Press.......I wonder if he kNOWS what the Associated Press is?.........he didn't seem to have ANY source...... or facts....... to back up his "snipe post"...............said he didn't FEEL like looking anything up .....how convenient...ROFL.......and lame...............pretty impressive stuff I'd say..............come after me if you want stratos but bring bullets next time............it'll be less embarrassing for you.........

mminnoe, I think one thing you should consider is:
If you post this kind of stuff without fact-checking first... and then, when you're "called on it", you just flippantly reply something to the effect of "what's the harm?" or "no big deal" or "so what".... don't you see how this affects your credibility when you actually post your opinions on issues ?
In my mind, it does. When you post this kind of "forward to your friends garbage" that we're all used to getting in our email, it makes me question your wisdom... question how much I should respect what you say. You're making it a little hard for younger guys like me to look up to you. <grin!>
This seems to be a fake rumor. The sgt. who started it has since written a retraction. The 9/11 story is also suspicious with no basis in fact. Google Starbucks and the war for a detailed explanation.
Explain to me again why we're supposed to quit buying from Starbucks?
