I can see where His logic goes…
Young gang kids in KC don’t want to work and support there families, they want to sell drugs and shot each other, so we should make Drugs and shooting legal…
They don’t want to follow the dress code at the Power and light districts so they should change the dress code….
They want to smoke where ever they feel like it, so we should change those laws….
They don’t like the speed limit, that’s gotta go…
They don’t want to pay there bills…OK
They don’t want to go to school and study, get ride of truant officers….
So if a few people, don’t want to follow the laws of the land,
they get a spokes person like Mr. Riley and do as they please…
Lets see how that works out for U….

Common Sense
Some laws are overly broad and unenforceable. Then the law is selectively enforced by by individuals who don't use common sense but instead use it to bully or control the situation. They might say to some "be cool" and just walk away. But to others, they might say "you're not getting the message" and haul them off to jail. Discrimination based on what?
Duh? In America, land of enforced tolerance, a law enforcement officer can use is discretion over far too many things.
We The People need to know more about the laws that are written by our Legislature because if you or someone you know is ever on the receiving end of a wrongly written or applied statute, you better know your rights because in practice, your GOVERNMENT will NEVER ADMIT it has done you wrong, until YOU can prove it.

With both of you on so many levels, but in reality most laws that they write are unenforceable. Some of there laws are dating back to the 1800's that they still enforce throughout Missouri. www.dumblaws.com is a great way to find out the laws that they still enforce throughout Missouri to this day. I found out about it in all my Paralegal classes that I had to take. Bob you were on the bad end of the law and everyone knows it that has been following any coverage of your arrest and the video proof you have. In reality though, there are about 55% of our laws that are on the books that cannot be enforced and if they are can be fought and won for lack of information to the public.
We will take for instance the firework ordinance, it's no secret I'm for fireworks. The problem that lies with the fireworks are the idiots that DO NOT use safety precautions when setting off explosives. The drink and get stupid, by shooting them off toward people or property and find this hilarious. That is wrong on so many different levels, that I can actually see why the put the ordinance into effect. Another ordinance that is causing all kinds of controversy is the new graffiti ordinance. All that is going to do is run off business owners because they know they have to pay for this shit, the problems lies in that fact that if these punk little kids know what type of paint to use and it CANNOT be removed without paying a professional hundreds if not a good 10K to have it removed. It is not worth the trouble and to have to have it removed within a time limit of 48 hours, what are you official retarded. Most professional companies are so booked up it may take them a week or two to even get out there. The money the business owners are going to have to pay in fines, is pretty much going to take care of the removal because someone got a wild hair up their butt and decided this sounds great. News flash you are an idiot and you need to get off the city official seat.
So stop, breathe and look at the stupidity you just put into law and thank you for helping the City of Independence on losing yet more money for this. You know Peacock is a great source of how our city isn't being run right and no one wants to listen to the people.

In our case, 4.5% of the people have elected our City Gov and they are makin the rules for us….
But when 65% vote against smoking, that’s the message, when that same 60% says No to pit bulls that’s how they feel, they have also said no to fireworks, the City has the responsibility to enforce there wishes not turn there heads…

Drunk driving laws were deemed unenforceable for years now we have checkpoints…

I think you are misunderstanding my point of view and that is okay. I have been in the burn unit with friends that have gotten drunk and shot each other with roman candles. I have seen the damage they will do and I never said I didn't that is why I will not allow my children to set them off, but what I am saying is for them to learn how to regulate them at a closer value.
If they don't want fireworks in the city then set up check points like they do for drunk driving, the problem with drunk driving is when people turn them in, the cops will tell you it isn't our problem or if they do respond they want their license plate number because they take to long to get there. I have turned in people for that shit and they did nothing and that is what I was told. The problems sometimes not all the time, but sometimes lies in the cops, because they don't want to have to deal with it until someone is hurt or killed. It isn't always that we don't have enough cops, sometimes it is because they are lazy until they absolutely have to do their job. But not all cops are that way, some will uphold the serve and protect the people, I have met a few and are honest about it.
That is what I'm saying!

You aren't going to give up are you? Mike you know damn well not one person in the city officials would even like me because I am so blunt and to the point. I have no problems with telling them where they screwed up and I would start with the arena, then move to the Dallas bar. I would also demand a complete audit of all city funds to find out why we are going broke. Now, tell me who wouldn't have a problem with that?
