Gamblin, drugs or sex…
Drug deals take about 3 minutes, so if cars stop and go all day and night they are selling drugs…
Best thing to do is watch and collect evidence… take pictures of the cars and people, write down Lic plate #’s and chart the times they come and go… Then U have something to take to the IPD…
Don’t engage them…
Stay out of the fray let the IPD do their JOBS…

Northeast's Most Wanted

Wow! I get that paper - and that feature WORKS!
They just caught another bad guy and I think are averaging at least one arrest a week on it. People in Northeast (unlike the East Side) actually call in when they see a "wanted" fugitive in the paper.
They've gotten a couple of awards for that column as well, most recently a CrimeStoppers International Media award, beating out over 2,000 other media outlets world wide. The Most wanted piece is what got them that award!
Pretty heady stuff for a "grocery rag"

One I’m glad to see…
Two stories on front page talking about the Crime problem in Indep…
Neighbor hood watch groups starting up..
people willing to stand up and go to court..
Willing to work to get the problems resolved in there neighbor hoods.
Now that we have admitted to the problem we can work together to Keep it under control.
One of the best things about Indep, the people who live here.
They are some of the nicest I’ve ever met, but the problem is they are a little naive,

Hey Porter here’s what I’m talkin about….
Guy that runs the Northeast News, a little penny saver type local sheet comes out every two weeks or so I’m not sure but it’s a Grocery store paper…
The guy decides to use it as a crime stopper, he uses it to warn the neighbor hood about gangs and how to Identify and stop them..
He even prints mug shots of most wanted in the paper and Tuesday they arrested one of the big trouble makers, a gangster and he’s in jail…
the neighbor hood is coming together behind this little throw a way paper…
Think what the EX could do with this same attitude…

Morning news on Auto Bail out…
This am they are making more points for letting them go bankrupte and refit and start over…
Prob with the bail out is:
the ave autoworker makes $73 an hour with all the Bennie’s
Ave forgien auto worker $44,
Ave American Worker makes $28 an hour…
So if we bail them out, a guy makin $28 bucks an hour is going to bail out a guy that makes $73???
Plus Mike Barnacle made a great point if U go to England or Europe and rent a Ford it gets 40+MPG,
If you come home and buy this same car for your family, it gets 16mpg??? Why ?

Watching the GM bail out debate…
It reminds me of the Russian weight lifters of the 70’s 80’s
They were breaking world records every time they lifted, but a new world record was only a 3 to 6 # increase and they got paid every time they broke a world record…
so they only lifted enough to get paid???
That’s what GM is doing, now the law is they have to make 30mpg cars by 2010, WOW they could make a car that gets 75 mpg today, they have them but why make em if U don’t have to???

My five-year old students are learning to read.
