Sarah Palin Steps Down as Governor Of Alaska

She says she does not want to be a lame duck and spend tax payers money on trips, etc. She said other governor waste money on trips during the lame duck period. What do you make of that? She said Gotcha, twice, and winked during her news conference.

Today Palin changed her story and is now saying that she quit due to the substantial legal debt inccured defending herself from allegations of ethics violations, related to Palin's personal vendetta against her ex-brother-in-law state trooper.
Given the constantly changing story on why she's a quitter who has no problem turning her back on all the Alaskans who voted her into office, I'm interpreting this whole fiasco to mean that she is about to sign a huge contract to become yet another idiotic talking head on the Fox "News" network.
.....first of all....I NEVER understood why a trooper that behaved like the one in question ...... wasn't IMMEDIATELY fired....... Trooper Wooten I am speaking of .....for starters....he had a history of activity which was not conducive to law enforcement......and was ILLEGAL as well........they found him guilty of these items :
• Wooten used a Taser on his stepson.
• He illegally shot a moose.
• He drank beer in his patrol car on occasion.
• He told others his father-in-law would "eat a f'ing lead bullet" if he helped his daughter get an attorney for the divorce.
......anywhere else people would be SCREAMING for him to be gone.. turned out he was supported by the union and the good ole boys.....and people have the AUDACITY to say Palin had a vendetta against him and his superior .....who refused to fire him.......what a hypocrisy.......Troopers drinking in their patrol cars?.....this is what we want?...........so a personal vendetta?......that's LAUGHABLE........the guy had serious issues .....it AMAZED me that haters of Palin could suppoort that trooper and keep a straight face.....ROFL........and .she spent about 10 minutes the other day explaining how "frivolous ethics violation complaints" had taken all her time as well as her staff......18 to be exact...that she has been exonerated of........hmmmmm....sounds like harassment to me....before the media started THEIR vendetta......a personal smear campaign to make sure "Big O" got elected...........Palin had THE highest approval rating of ANY governor in the country.......80%.........Alaskans were happy with her......she hasn't suddenly changed in the last year......the power of the media to destroy people......proven psychological fact is that people start to believe something after they have heard it 6 times.......apparantly the leftys are still nervous......maybe they thought they didn't finish her off......the clothes thing was ridiculous....Obama on the other hand has a "ticket to ride"...........she hasn't changed her story one bit........she said it threw her $500,000 in debt the other day.................and cost Alaskan taxpapers another 2 miilion........besides tying up her time........nothing has changed...if you want CHANGE.......go listen to Obama.......he's got more waffles than IHOP...........Sarah Palin could single handedly solve our unemployment problem.......solve the national debt.....stop the war.........make gays happy .......put two chickens in every pot and two American made cars in every driveway...........lower taxes and raise social security.........make health care cheap............and achieve world peace.......and GUESS WHAT?........Keith Olberman , David Letterman , Katie Couric , the left wing media...........and all the haters would STILL try to find fault......complain and whine..........she ran for office.....that made the haters cry and whine........she lost but she was still IN office......THAT made the haters unhappy......now she left office........the haters are STILL complaining......scratching their heads.......they NEED their scapegoat......somebody to make fun of... as well as having her kids as a target......nobody attacked Clinton's kid......guarantee nobody will attack the Obama children......but the left wing media have a different set of rules for Sarah...let's make fun of her because her daughter got pregnant and she doesn't believe in abortion...let's make fun of her because she has spiritual values.....you know......freedom of religion?.......what this country was FOUNDED upon?..............so to continue the mindless dribble of cheap shots?.......cheap easy fun.?..........who are they going to get?......I guess they will still have to chase Sarah Palin......like school children who bully in the school yard.......I honestly believe if she killed herself?.......haters would find a way to criticize her ....even in death.......".she didn't do it right"...."...she didn't do it for the right reason"......gimme a break.......

Trooper Wooten may have been a red-necked Alaskan officer, but you're missing the point. Trooper Wooten's superiors are the ones responsible for disciplining him, and it's not up to the governor to micromanage the state patrol, especially if the trooper in question is a relative. That's an immediate conflict of interest.
Also, Palin opened herself and her family up to criticism from the media by running on a platform that included a belief that having children take a vow of abstinece was more effective than passing out condoms. When Bristol Palin became pregnant, it was a glaring example that abstinence education alone doesn't work, because it didn't even work in Palin's family, and she was a knowledgeable advocate of the program.
Talking about laughable points, if David Letterman is a member of "the left wing media," then so is Elmo from Sesame Street. Letterman's an entertainer, people. If the only place a person gets their "news" is from David Letterman, than there is no point in debating with them. But it sure is convenient to lump him in with "the media," since most American's equate that to meaning a news source, isn't it?
As for Katie Couric, how did she set out to destroy Palin? By pointing out Palin couldn't name one publication she reads regularly? By showing that the extent of Palin's experience in foreign affairs came from staring across the Bearing Sea with a set of binoculars? Palin dug her own grave with Couric, not the other way around.
Olberman? He a talk show host that I lump into the same category as Glenn Beck and the rest of the blathering talking head idiots that Americans consider journalists, despite the fact that they haven't broke an actual news story in years.
If you want to see what real TV journalism should look like, turn on BBC World News America some time. You won't see one single opinion spouted during the entire length of the one hour show. Just facts. Remember what that was like?
......I din't miss ANY point ......I KNOW it was Wooten's supervisor who SHOULD havedone the right thing with Wooten.....that was Palin's point.....that he WASN'T doing his job...and I agree...how can you say that the guy was doing his job when he blatantly ignored such travesty as troopers drinking in their patrol cars....threatening to kill people in your family......tasering a family member?........I would have fired the supervisor so fast it would make your pensive head spin.....and if it had been you?..........think again....be honest with yourself here.........I NEVER said Letterman WAS left wing media.......I listed him by name and listed the left wing media after I mentioned him.......I KNOW he's an entertainer......duh?...........nobody gets their news from Letterman.......EDIT : after further review of my earlier post?.....I can see where you would have construed that I was considering Letterman as media.....I worded it poorly.....I should have said "as well as the left wing media"...I hated typing in high school......I got a C.....figured I would NEVER need it.....ROFL......go figure......shoud have taken Spanish too..............I merely meant for him to be included him as a hater.......which I think nobody would dispute.....his attacks on Palin go beyond "cheap comedic attempts" ............as for the comment by Palin about "seeing Russia from her back yard?"......yeah ...if you recall I DID say that she "drew fire into her zone".....but it was innocent enough.....any body could have said something like that.....Biden says more stiupid stuff than that every week.....and the media mention it briefly and move on......ROFL.....and he's our V.P........you can't deny that the media set out to destroy Palin......for merely political reasons...and now that Obama is in?.......they should "let it go"...even the FBI gave a statement saying that there is nO ongoing investigation that made her resign....as alll the haters contend. with their venom......if there had been?......the lefty's would have dug it up by now.....on their witch hunt.........Couric?.......ha ha ha ha haha............what kind of a stupid question was that about magazines?.....I would have blown her off too.........YOU are the one who said Palin went after Wooten because "she had a personal vendetta against him".......so what?.........alright I'll admit that she PROBABLY did......any nORMAL person would have.....and if her position enabled her to legally pursue it?.....it WAS justified.....hard to argue against that......I don't care if it WAS SUPPOSED to be some body elses job to discipline ....ie: fire Wooten......we must remember that she was found "NOT GUILTY" of ethics violation in this case and 17 others.....so what does THAT tell you?.......hard to refute the facts on that too................ I'd say she'll make more giving 3-4 speeches on behalf of the GOP than she makes for a year as Govenor of Alaska. The GOP will use her in a prelude to the 2010 elections for the house and senate seats in the lower 48 states. The lefties who want bigger government hate her and brand her polarizing branding her with the typical female nutz and slutz attack. The moderates and conservatives tollerate or love her. According to pollsters 20% of the country describes themselves as liberal. We're still right of center country. The 2010 elections will give her more face time and set the stage for 2012 elections. She and the GOP will be better informed about her chances in 2012. It could possibly be brilliant. I'd like to know haw well SARAH-PAC is doing. I'd say in light of what's happening its got legs though(figurativily speaking) no pun intended with either. GO SARAH!!!!!!!!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again...the blogging community has some of the very best opinions and slants out there. Some are nuts, some are solid, but for the most part are True America.

Joe, I always wished I had artistic talents. The last sentance in my Blog on Sarah-PAC I can vividly see a political editorial cartoon in just that one sentance. But, alas, I didn't play hangman in elementary school because I couldn't draw a stick man. I appreciate good editorial cartoons like yours.

Naw, I think BO, Axelrod, Gibbs, Geithner et. al., with campaign promises kept vs broken will keep them pretty well occupied. She's going to be a thorne in their A$$. Especially as BO unveils the McCain health plan and no tax of any kind if you're making less than $250K. BO and company is about to be exposed. As Maggie Thatcher said, I'm paraphrasing, The problem with taxing the rich is eventually you run out of rich people.
........when you run out of rich people to tax and fund your programs? .......and exhausted the resources of the middle working class?......you just keep printing money and have China reimburse us.......we're already 3.3 trillion in debt to the rest of the world......when Geithner reassured his audience awhile back......even the Chinese college students roared with laughter.......they're smart enough to know when they're being fed "Bull Residual".........

U.S. Debt is 'Safe.' Seriously. Stop Laughing
Following a speech at Peking University on his first trip to China as Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner was asked to share his thoughts about the safety of Chinese investments in the United States. They are "VERY safe," he quickly asserted.
At which point the audience burst out laughing. Apparently, the audience was amused not only by the answer's substance, but by the flat "don't worry your little young heads about it" certainty with which Geithner insisted that China's U.S. debt holdings were A-OK. Because as even a group of Chinese college kids understood, that's just not as clear as the Treasury Secretary insisted it was.

My favorite piece is the chicken leg! I have had it in the south, lots, and lots of butter! Mine (however) is skinless, bonless and baked in cheyenne pepper, and a little olive oil and garlic and other spices. But I would love a bucket of chicken and a coke!
