A final farewell present

I couldn't really put my feelings towards my wonderful friends here into words, but I found a video that sums up my opinion of each and every one of your smiling, accepting faces.

ELISA - Our Own Hometown Hero -Working for the Good of Independence

Looking at some articles in the Examiner about things going on in Indepenendence, ELISA  name came up. What I have heard about her is she is driven to make things better for Independence, she attends meeting after meeting using her own funds.

Politics and the Examiner

What is the Examiners policy on issues  "Of a Political Nature'  Is it hands off, or is it along the lines of "I know this person so I will endorse and choose this person or voting issue."  Just Asking, Steve Curd

The search for oil: The West

I found a rather recent article on Scientific American website about oil, natural gas, and uranium drillers heading to the West/Mid West of the United States to tap into "forgotten resources" in an attempt to help America become less attatched to our oil selling enemies.
What's the real point? This drilling polluted water for every 1 in 12 Americans.

Mercury may not arrive!

Due to recent reports, the public went nuts when talk of a hazardous waste storage facility in their city came up. Outcry reached  Emanuel Cleaver and he vowed to keep KC off the Department of Energy's Final List.
People need to be aware of this even if it's not in the Independence Missouri area proper.

Here is the link to the main article: www.kansascity.com/115/story/1315982.html

KCMO could become host to thousands of tons of elemental mercury

That's right. There is a chance that those living in KC could now have the esteemed honor of hosting their area to insane amounts of a harmful substance. Just what you always wanted?
Is Independence going to be considered too? It's what, a few miles away? Do you think Independence or surrounding cities like Blue Springs should have a say?

OMG, OMG, ALIENS AND SPACESHIPS BURIED IN SUGAR CREEK!

Bridge closing reported by the Examiner, in Sugar Creek, let us have some investigative reportingIs the foul smell  the buried spaceships and aliens?  What are the aliens names? Where are they from (what galaxy?), How did they get there?  How can you cover it up when CNN was there?

Earl Bishop's "Letter to the Editor"

I am confused, is this article trying to put America in the hands of the very people responsible for such honorable things as the events that led up to the bail out?

Sulfuric Oder is BACK In Independence!

On my way to work, it was that smell again.  It is not as bad (yet), but noticable.  I hope someone is investigating the uncovered spoiled soil. The community appreciate  (MISS ELISA) efforts, and would like to send her a thank you. My guess is they are resuming their digging today in Sugar Creek.  I hope this smell does not become a mainstay as in some larger cities, I have lived in.

Sugar Creek Refinary/ ELISA on TV 5

I did some more searching and found a specific lawsuit that sheds light on "spoiled soil"
