Thank you Independence School District voters for voting for the levy increase. Our kids deserve to have a great education. My only hope is that the people getting the jobs to build the new schools and update and improve our other schools as much as possible are INDEPENDENCE RESIDENTS! I know 100% can't be but more of an effort needs to be made.

 
Does anyone out there in blogland know the answer to this question? I can't for the life of me think of one single thing.
 

 
When are people going to wake up and realize consumers create jobs. Governments can't create jobs without taxing you into the poor house. So the next time you think buying cheap foreign made products is a good buy think again.

 
Someone is very upset with Obama to pay to have that sign put up. I wander how I would find out who paid for that sign? Sign speaks the truth.

 
I just want to give a heads up to anyone who might read this blog. My employer was located in Kansas City for 16 years and he didn't have as much trouble with thieves as he is now located in Grain Valley. I told him he might want to reconsider and move back to Kansas City. The thieves started hitting his company right off the bat when he moved to Grain Valley. Within three months I told him moving to Grain Valley might have not been such a great idea. 

 
I received my bill on 07-23-09 bill date was 07-14-09. I was charged for whole house wire from 06-22 to 07-21 even before I received my bill. Cost is only $1.29 plus tax but I should have had the opportunity to say I didn't want that service if it was no longer provided for free. The lady at Comcast didn't want to remove it from my bill. Can you say dish network or satellite tv. Why do these companies think they can treat their customers this way? Cable isn't a need its a want I can live without.

 
taxes. You have to keep your receipts and keep books on where your money is going but it is worth it. Don't forget all the ultility taxes you pay and also your fuel receipts. We are expected to live on less and less. I'm down to living on 25% of my gross income. Guess who gets a greater cut than I do?

 
This was funded with Independence residents tax dollars. Does anyone know what percentage of people working there resided in Independence?

 
I only buy needs and no wants due to the sales tax. I've always tracked my money, now I track my money and how much I pay in taxes. Federal, state, county, and city along with all the other taxes they tag on bills. No one is talking about how taxes are affecting our spending. I can tell you it is affecting my spending. I know my fico score, my health score and now my tax score. Tax score is what percentage of your income you pay in taxes.

How many more people do you want to become government dependent? Businesses are struggling to even pay their bills and keep the doors open. Why is the stock market falling? Well, in 2007 and 2008 when you were running for President you said you were going to raise taxes on capital gains and  dividends. People I know started selling. You wouldn't need to ask for a stimulus bill if you would just lay off saying your going to raise taxes. Everyone already pays enough. Looks to me like government wants everyone government dependent.

I had a family member this happened to and advised them to contact the Missouri Attorney Generals Office. They did get the situation resolved.  Mortgage companies are telling people to not make payments during the modification period. You should make them anyway. Document everything. Hope this helps.

I spoke with their attorney today and he said they should be registered by Saturday. I want to know who these people are that they think after all the work has been done to remove us from the Kansas City School District that they can just come in here.

I hand walked in our 2008 Jackson County Personal Property Declarations in February. I was sent another declaration saying they hadn't received one of the declarations. I hand walked it in again in April. In November they put a $100.00 penalty on my personal property taxes saying they hadn't received it. I called Mike Sanders office asking for an appointment. His secretary wouldn't give me an appointment. Not important enough. I called Fred Arbanas' office and received no return call. What do these people do for all the taxes we pay?

A man that was 74 years young who made no more than $36,000.00 a year invested and before the stock market situation was a multimillionaire. He said now he is only a millionaire. Goes to show you its not about how much you make its what you do with what you make.

Listen to Dave Ramsey on 710 AM Radio between 11:00a and 2:00pm Monday thru Friday. I don't agree with everything he says about getting your finances in order but he is on the right track. His billboards say "ACT YOUR WAGE." Living debt free is worth more than anything you can ever buy.
