HEY THERE SPORTS FANS! A BIT OF TRIVIA

This coming Monday, July 13 is one of just 2 days throughout the entire year where there is not a professional Sports Game scheduled in the U.S.
 
Pro sports meaning, MLB, NHL, NBA and NFL.  
 
363 out of 365 days. Only 2 days no games.  This Monday is one of the two.  What do you think is the other day?  Hint: it is the same 2 days every year.

The day before and the day after the Major League Baseball All Star Game. If you consider professional sports to be only the NFL, the NBA, the NHL, and MLB. College sports, however, continue to play. There are a few college football games during these days.
The other day is the day before the All-Star game because all the exhibitions that are on this day are not official games. i.e. the home-run derby and old timers game.

I usually don't get on the blogs until the evenings during the week.  I saw you answer right away over the weekend and wanted to let this one go through Monday.

........the nickname "Smokin Joe" actually came from my recollection of "Joe Frazier" back when boxing was fun.......it actually has no connotation to tobacco or tobacco related products...........ROFL............for those underwriter investigators out there.........boxing................" a smokin quick left hook"........."a smokin quick right jab"............"a smokin quick step to the left"........"float like a butterfly ......sting like a bee"............what does THIS have to do with Joe Liccar the cartoonist you say?............erhh............he's smokin quick with the humor?......the uptake of  politics?.........smokin quick with the pen?.................
