What a great story in today's Examiner about the Nuns helping catch a burglar.
What does our blogging community think of this? You guys and gals usually have terrific commentary.

Maybe a convent at 39 St instead of a police sub-station. Nuns also know the value of torture in detention. In fact I think waterboarding evolved from full submersion baptisim. I know I got water up my nose when I was dunked.
........I wonder if celibacy is what makes "sisters of the cloth"..........well..........SO SERIOUS.............striking fear and retribution into the hearts of sinners...........I too was dunked........sprinkled when I was born........dunked a couple times later on......I think it had a hard time "taking"....... ha ha ha.............they held me under till my arms were flailing above the water...........ROFL...........my parents seemed surprised when I emerged gasping and sputtering for air.........did ya ever git the feelin ur folks tried to drown ya when u were a pup?...............those wussy terrorists.........screamin bleedin heart liberals.....Keith Olberman............a little water up somebody's nose won't kill ya..........unpleasant yes..........I wonder what kind of "pleasnat interrogation they have in mind?......oh never mind......I just remembered.......and I'm NOT making this up.........they were extolling the virtues of "milk and cookies" for the terrorist suspects...........erhh.........and not sugar free either.......or DID they WANT sugar -free?.............now THAT'S torture.......getting sugar -free when you want REAL sugar in your cookies...........sound ridiculous?...........of COURSE it does............generals of old are probably turning over in their graves..........torture equipment from the middle ages was brutal...........thumb screws.........racks........helmets with giant screws in the back...........Spanish inquisition was brutal...........these people running around screaming about waterboarding should "get a life"...............wanting to prosecute Bush and Cheney......or others that were concerned with keeping us safe?............assinine............anwyay...........excuse my rant...........ROFL..............I used to wonder why I got "kicked out of school" for skipping class............. ha ha ha...................yeah...... a convent of sisters on 39th street would be a great place to interrogate crime suspects..........

heck yeah...i remember those days at nativity grade school...WHACK!

and i learned quick that if sister michenfelder asked if you went to mass that past sunday ALWAYS say yes.
i remember her saying once ..well i didnt see you there.,..quick thinker that i am i said oh i went to saint anns not saint marys...

my brother used to own an apco station on truman rd. years ago...her and her sister friend would come in every monday to fill up their car....so greg and i would fight over who got to NOT wait on them...because...well its just hard to lie to a nun...lol

Good Morning Joe! I was laughing my butt off with the same image of him running away from these nuns with the ruler in his hand screaming like a little kid.......... I tell you what those nuns get aggressive, if you have ever been in a catholic school, WOW! They are scary!
........some people are scared of scary clowns.......some people are scared of scary nuns........ROFL...........apparantly this guy couldn't get away FAST enough......... ha ha ha........verrrrrrrrrrrry funny stuff........the story made the odd news......... nationally...........hurray for Independence..............maybe the guy was having flashbacks of those GIANT rulers the nuns used to use to "straighten students out".........it would be interesting to know if the perp ever went to a parochial school.........he even dropped his gun in his haste?............hard to imagine ANYBODY having the "kahunas" to shoot a nun..........ROFL............
