Quick thought on a good movie

Hi, gang. Just a quick hit on one of those really good art-house movies that might or might not be around for awhile. It's Kansas City, and you never can tell.

I saw "Lemon Tree" last night at the Glenwood. It's one of the better movies I've seen lately. The star is Hiam Abbass. You might recall her as the mother in "The Visitor." She was a breath of life in that and is even better here. She plays a Palestinian who makes a meager living from her lemon grove. The new Israeli defense minister moves in next door, with tons of security. They say the trees pose a risk and have to go. This gets complicated. No simple answers. Very little is black and white.

I was happy to see this morning that it's apparently around for another week. Check it out.

This is a movie you make me want to see.

Sounds interesting!  My sister loves movies like this.  Thanks for the heads up!
