The questions came from the audience and none covered the points you raise. Had either candidate strayed to address a question unasked he would be criticized, just as you complain that he did not stray. And McCain took considerably less money from Freddie and Fannie than did Obama, about 1/6th as much. But I agree with you - the subject matter was stale. I wish the audience or the moderator had brought up new topics such as immigration, deeper questions about health care, social security reform, how to improve education and on and on.
Calmly and cooly...
Obama collected $123,000 form the employees at F& F...Mc Collected $169,000 form the Ceo's & officers of the Co's.,
go to fact checker.org these are there stats not mine and they have been talkin about it on FoxNews , CNN etc...
all morning they both know the truth they are just spouting taliking points...
Checker out...
I really don't just pull this crap out of my A---Donkey...
From opensecrets.org listing of all recipients from 1989 thru 2006. McCain's collection was $21,550 (over 20 years), C. Dodd took #165,400 and Obama got #126,349 (in 3 years). I've been to fastcheck.org and find nothing, not even an article regarding Fannie or Freddie. Clue me as to topic to search.
Sometimes you do put out crap, by the ton.
Foxnews and CNN because they are telling the same story...
I'll go find it for U and give U the link...
U get a better price by the ton, I'm tryin to save u $...
"According to CRP, Obama’s total contributions from the FMs work out to $126,349. Of that sum, $6,000 comes from the FMs’ political action committees, and the rest from individuals who work for one of the two companies. Obama’s FM contributions account for about 0.03 percent of his total contributions to date. McCain’s FM haul is a smaller $21,550, all from individuals. That’s about 0.01 percent of his total contributions. We stand by our doubts that either candidate will be much swayed by numbers of this size.
That’s all true
But then U go look at Mc amount from the officers and CEO’s from the co and U will find another $148,000 or so the say it’s a total of $169,000 albeit over 20 years…
Guys I really don’t pull this out of my Ass I watch about 20 hours of news TV a day and play on the net at the same time….
I don’t really care I thin Mc has blown it and will lose, but he wasn’t much of a choice…
we could have done a lot better..
The mess we are going to have with Ob will be a disaster… I can’t wait to see the cabinet…
That is a verbatim quote from the link to wire.factcheck.org. By the way, CRP - Clear and Real Politics? Also, Obama's take was over a 3 year period, McCain's over a 20 year span.

Now here is my take on things.....
I don't know much about the money issues you guys are talking about, but I will discuss how the candidates were acting.
Obama was trying to act professional and so was McCain until Obama wanted a rebuttal and McCain acted like a four year on the subject. Obama didn't discuss the point of what he didn't know, he just stated what he did know and wanted the rest left up to his wife. McCain did discuss a point that he didn't know and that was made clear with the talk about Iraq and the removal date. He did answer what he did know and it was the same thing as what he didn't know. Whether each candidate is correct or incorrect on our different points of view doesn't really matter, what is going to matter in the very end is whether we want the same thing as the past 8 years or if we want the same thing as the past 8 years. McCain has good points and bad and so did Obama, but the one thing they both did agree on is where most of the troops need to be and the was Afghanistan going after Osama Binladen. Other than that they were trying to crack jokes and they never got to much of a laugh. I did like how they both appreciated the Navy service man and let him know that.
It'll be funnier Saturday!
It will be even funnier on Saturday, when the re-do it on SNL, maybe.
True....
The SNL is going to be hilarious if they do it, I hope they will! Although the Palin re-do is pretty great stuff too.
