Who Tore Up Good Old Mayor Reimals Billboard???

Well well the news keeps growing just like the weeds do around the Mayors Billboard. Now we know that someone tore down the billboard that was put up by the electricians who wanted to do "The City Managers Little Ice Castle." Most of us know the city never wants to support our little or big business's. The City Manager Robert Heacock, Mayor Don Reimal and all of the City Council has made it clear to all of us. Only Robert Heacocks friends matters. This blog is to let all of Independence know many of us are tired of business as usual. Tear down our signs and keep on keeping on we will see change. With or without you. Our people have had enough.

We need a Mayor that certainly doesn't blame the crime on illegals,it's much more local that that. That's just a cop out to blame it on others instead of our own community.

I would never vote for this type of outright ignorance, and I feel anyone who thinks and speaks like this is going to just go the wrong way to the other extreme. I also tend to want my Polticians to be able to spell politically correct when they are spewing and ranting about not being so. I, as well, am very concerned for our city in many ways, the crime, the lack of budding business, the amount of old homes falling down and empty lots gathering rats and garbage, but to go even more backwards than we already are, with bigotry and blame, isn't going to do anything to move this city into 2009.
Just my 2 cents.

Sounds like three of us are not into excepting The Good Old Boy Club and we have seen what being policticlaly correct means and all of the harm it has done. For the record we have Mexicans in our family I better Love them. My girl friend who rents from me is also Mexican. They don't want to go back home to all of that crime. That is why we do need someone who will KICK  A$$ and Take Names as you have said. This next election is going to be FUN!!! Mminnoe can't stand the wait any more than I can!!! The count down is on!!!  XOX

well im sure my friend that they are also LEGAL and NOT gang members...THOSE are the mexicans im talking about.

Do you have any idea how many gang bangers are legal? How many "white" kids are in these gangs, and that the majority of the "mexican" ones are actually legal, because they were born here?
It's not Mexicans= crime
It's more an issue of the white trash who let their kids run wild, and the rampant drug addiction our city refuses to face up to that ends up equalling crime in several ways. Money for drugs, territory for dealing, addicted parents losing their kids to the streets.
How on earth can you honestly equate our city issues with Mexicans and act like it's just that easy?
How do you explain the white boys shooting others Moms? And each other over text messages from some tart? Seriously. Don't narrow your vision, it will bite you in the butt.

I had a punk kid who was dating the neighbor girl.  He and his SISTER got into a fight over the phone over something stupid.
Well, we live on a dead end street and here she comes driving 50mph and locks up the tires for a good 30 feet, sliding to a stop in front of the neighbor's house.
I just happened to be on my front porch cleaning some tools with the garden hose when this went down.  He comes out of her house and begins to whoop up on his SISTER (these kids are 19 at best).  Even though she antagonized it, she didn't deserve it. 
I drop the hose, tell my wife to call 911 and proceded to tackle his idiot (the brother) in the street where he got a NICE cash of roadrash on his face.  I held him down until she took off.  The police showed up THIRTY MINUTES later.  While I was pinning this skinny little punk to the pavement, I made it PERFECTLY CLEAR that this would NEVER HAPPEN again in my neighborhood.  Let's just say he got the point.  The cops show up and guess what...since they're brother/sister...and neither one wants to go to jail...no charges, no report...the cop starts to drive off.  I stop the police officer and said "uh...isn't someone going to jail tonight?"  He responds, "unfortunately, no, their not married so we can't arrest anyone since neither side wants to press charges."  Off into the sunset he went.
The next day, said punk shows up to my door to apologize (I was shocked).  I told him "apology accepted, but get your scrawny butt off of my property and out of my neighborhood NOW.  You're not welcomed here anymore and we live on a deadend street, so if I see so much as your car turning onto our street, I will have no choice but to assume you are here to retaliate and I will be prepared as such.  Now get lost."
Never saw him again.
Last I heard..the punk was in jail.  BIG SHOCKER.

Todd, I don't personally know you , so I hope that you don't take this the wrong way. MY WORDS may come out wrong.
 
Okay, first of all EVERYONE that runs for some kind of office ALWAYS SAYS that they will do this and that and 99.9 % of them don't do it. THEY may start out to , but in the end they, or someone in their crew decides that they want to wash someones back and then it goes out the window.
You may make a great Mayor, I wouldn't be able to base that with just blogging with you.
I think that if we {INDEPENDENCE CITIZENS} had a Mayor  that kick a== and took names and actually held those that serviced this city up to higher standards or just standards period would be great. I could think of a few people who would be like that , but  she isn't going to run for mayor. Not that  I think that she would only be a great mayor, I know a few men too, like that. I wish he would run , but knowning him , he wouldn''t run , because he has said to many times that this city needs to wake up and smell the coffee , putting it in nice terms here.
I think we all just want  SOMEONE who will actually say what  they mean when their running for our city officals offices.
Like I said before this isn't towards you, just what i KNOW  to be true when it comes to those that run for office.
