Mt. Washington Has Been Under Attack

The city is having trouble following their own ordinances. On 24th street we again have stop signs with SUR 13 defacing them. Some of the bloggers feel this is something we can not do a thing about. Some feel we should not talk about it because it makes our city look bad. I do not care if you want to call the people who do all this Graffiti and destruction The Little Rascals. We have a Huge Problem Here. Some feel that I am saying Mt Washington Cemetery is not taking care of their Cemetery. That is not my point! Mt Washington Cemetery looks like they stand alone like many of us do with no protection from this type of destruction. I have 36 pages of Incident Analysis Reports from Mt Washington. Each page has around 7 reports on it. They have been through Hell but we live in a city that don't think we should talk about our problems. We can keep fixing all this destruction but why. Why do we not want to address this problem. Turn a blind eye don't deal with it and shut up about any gang activity that sure is a proven way to get results around here.

Amazes me how some people think name calling such as "parinoid" is so cool.
Mad Dog......it's not cool to call somebody paranoid.......it's an accurate description of you........you have repeatedly thought people were talking about you , or to you , when they address other people.........then you make a post that "calls the party out"........of which was me in two cases and kilroy in another............so if you know another word for that behavour , I'll be happy to use it.........that's why I explained to you for the third time if I am talking TO or ABOUT you?.......I will use your name.....so there will be NO more confusion..........you're new........you just learned how the threads work.......I tried to befriend , and help you , and your paranoia and inflamatory replies pissed me off......so now we're done......if it's THIS much trouble now after a week?........I see nothing but problems in your blogging future........you quit every other day...........you insult us.....then you come back three hours later.......this isn't stable behavour.......then you shoot around the blogs with your snipey posts..........don't BE paranoid and people won't CALL you paranoid........I've been on thse blogs 6 months and I've never called anybody paranoid but YOU................I hated to do it.......I held back the first several times.........but after you decided to snipe me a few times I said "screw it"..........why" baby sit" the guy....................so now you understand.........I won't address you again...............so snipe away..........what you did with me ?.......you'll do with others.........it's in your nature..........you can't help yourself.............you needed me as a buffer and now I'm gone..........happy blogging.............fire at will Marshall Shrout............

I didn't bother to read it. Hope you enjoy typing. I got a real life to live eldogg, your not apart of it. ( Will not ever be eather for that matter) Go write novels to people with nothing better to do than read them.
Hi. This has all been interesting no doubt. But unless someone blogs me back or emails me a reason to stay in here I think I'll check out and do other things. I offered Elisa to help if I could. Not sure what that would be, but eather or goodluck in the endeavor. Just sow seeds and from there let them grow. Other than that, I'm running out of stuff to talk about thats constructive to the cause. And actually, all these debates seem more like personal issues than promoting causes.

I believe the 20/20 in MD has to do with the alcohol content of the low end wines(sometimes referred to as bums wine) The MD stands for Mogen David, who was a producer of inexpensive wines. My grandfather always had a gallon on the table throughout the winter he'd nip to warm him up in the winter. The MD was expanded to include wines like Thunderbird and Ripple. I believe the 20/20 isn't referring to vision though, unless you drink too much MD 20/20 which would impair your vision

Mt. Washington still had 6 signs with ES on them. Legends Estates, Sunset Garden, Garden Oaks, Garden of Prayer, Riverview Gardens and Garden of Faith. The charming little bridge has ES on it as you come from the Truman Road side. Anyone can get a copy of the police reports as I did if you truly care about Mt Washington Cemetery. All of us are free to think what we want and believe what we want. The Government or the Bloggers have not been able to change that. This Cemetery is rich in history. It holds many special people. Some with big names some with just big old hearts. It's the largest Cemetery in the State of Mo. It's the Cemetery that I turned to when I lost my brother. I respect the people who run it and the men who work in it. Truman Road has had enough Graffiti to show we have a gang problem. The fact that we have 3 full time Gang Cops, that is all they deal with, should show we have a Gang problem. But for some the truth could beat you to death and you would say you still don't believe it. Our city is being covered up in patches of paint to cover up this problem some of you think we do not have. Our crime stats are not doing us any good. We can continue to be satisfied with our crime level or work to improve it. I vote to improve it.
Hi Elisa, My parents will be buried there some day and I or them were not aware of any of this. I will be calling the office about this to get more info.I'm not happy about this at all. I do not want to go and pay my respects and see Graffiti due to a bunch of punk kids having no respect for the people we love. They need to have security there 24/7 to catch these JERKS before there is more damage done.

Dimples0313 You know me and you know how much I hate all the crime around here. I would Love to see it get pushed away from all of us. Most people think we should all have 24/7 security if we have a business. We would like to do that but money just can't make that happen. The best we can do is cameras. With all the cameras going all around Independence let me tell you this in case I have not. We can have crimes on tape and still no one will do any thing. We can have two people that have witnessed the crime. The people who do these crimes can have a criminal record a mile long and still nothing happens. Only the victims pay for the crimes. This problem is far deeper than just punk kids having no respect for the people we Love. As a business I have to say this problem belongs to all of us. Your husband is rare he is fearless. If someone comes near your home or your friends home to do crimes they have him to deal with. I want to say Thank God your neighborhood has him. Dimples0313 if we had one of him in each neighborhood 911 would go dead. Lets take him to a different place. Let us put him in charge of any level of government. He will make sure you and all of your friends have that same type of protection. He would do what ever it took to find the help we would need. You and I both know that. That is what we are missing here. Mt. Washington is a business too. They can't do it all alone. They need team work to help drive this crime away. We don't have that in this city I am sad to say. We have no place to turn. Each of us are on our own. Till we put together Team Independence or Team Jackson County we are all just big losers. The city and county along with each business and resident will pay out the nose for all these crimes because we don't live and work in a county that wants to clean this mess up yet. We have no leadership that can see the GREAT NEED for this. Instead all we hear is they are working on this problem. Crime comes to dark places. Crime comes to easy places. Crime comes when you don't work together as a team in a neighborhood, city or a county. Thanks for your blog and I hope this helps you understand why I did this blog. It was because they truly need our help with this problem. The dead should not need 24/7 security in Independence. All of us need to do our jobs. From parents to the top officials. We should all do what we can to push crime away. xox

The last time I checked they dropped security. Someone out there thought the IDP could do a better job. I don't support that position actually, but maybe someone like you can gear them up. Thanks for posting in my blog also. I don't condone the crime, but figured blogging the good side of the cemetery better suited me. I'll let Elisa do this side, and offer support if needed. :) Here I go blogging in here again. LOL
Elisa........."you vote TO improve our crime level?"............erhh?...."you voted "No" if I remember correctly......... .........let's crush the efforts of the IPD to do their jobs...........let's deny them funding...........then whine about crime............I get it...........if the crime never improves and we don't let the IPD do their jobs then YOU'LL have a soapbox forever.............you keep talking about "working to improve crime stats"...........well we KNOW you don't believe money helps (but you DO for COMBAT).............so you think blogging about it is going to improve crime?.........how?............how about REAL solutions since the police have failed so miserably in your eyes.....

Eldoggg You have never addressed the issue that we think 6 million dollars for maybe 40 officers in 3 and one half years is to expensive. There was no language in the tax to guarantee anything. You want me to turn a blind eye to my representatives that can spend 58 million for their pet project. They can find money for everything but public safety. When talking to our officials crime was not an issue until they wanted the money. To put it bluntly I did not trust them. For real solutions how about we hire enough patrol officers to fully staff the 12 patrol districts. Maybe you do not think that 25million dollars is enough money to supply the bare minimum of staffing. Maybe there needs to be an audit to see if our money is being spent wisely. As a business man in Independence I feel fully justified in expecting reasonable security for my business and especially my family. We have some damn fine officers in Independence. I think it is time we give them the support they deserve. You always scream more money. What about using what we have appropriately. What about starting with 6 new patrol officers for 300000 dollars. We already have a tax for outfitting them.
