Man in Fairmount has been robbed of all that he owned

A nice lady just left my shop who told me her neighbor who is retired was robbed of all he owned when he took his wife to the unemployment office yesterday. We have an eyewitness who saw a Gray Ford F1 50 in the front of the home. The driver was said to be 35-40 years of age. These people need our help. They live on Evanston. This may not be much to go on but keep your eyes open. If I lost all that I had I would hope people would try and help me. This is all I know. He lost all of his TV's microwave and much more. He was crying out in his front yard when he got home. His neighbor lady came to my shop today. I asked her what is your greatest concern in Independence. She said crime and told me this story. This is the end of this story for now. I pray we find this Gray Ford truck and I pray this man gets back what he has worked for all of his life. Thank You for any help we can find for him.

I hope he had homeowner's insurance?

I mean, just having somebody break INTO your house is traumatic enough... let alone have them steal everything out from under you!   But at least, with homeowner's insurance, he could make a claim and replace the stuff.   (Of course, I say that, knowing fully well that my own $1000 deductible on my homeowners insurance would make the whole situation even more traumatic for me.)

DRaasch more and more people lose their insurance over crime. One of my friends has been in a war with his insurance company. They have not paid him a dime. He solved his crime and no one will move forward for him with prosecution. It's more than traumatic it's a big disgrace. You can pay out the nose for protection and still have nothing!

Elisa, did anyone happened to catch what this gentlemen looked like other than age range?  Some times facial features or markings tend to help, ie. tattooes, scars, etc.  I don't know if you know or could find out for us.

All She could tell me was the mans age and that he had glasses on. Thanks for asking I left out the glasses info.   xox

I assume the police were called and are investigating. Did the neighbor happen to note was the man tall, short, heavyset or thin, What color was his hair, if any. Did he have facial hair? He had to make several trips in and out of the house. Did the neighbor see that? Was he carrying anything? Hope the poor guy has homeowners insurance.
