Hello Bloggers and new friends,

Perhaps I did bore the city council last night. They do not share my passion for public saftey being the number one priority. Last night I was there because of people like you who want change for our city. It is we the people who can truly turn our city around. I do not blog but if this is how we need to talk I will do it. I dont talk at large meetings.either but in order to live and work in this city I have learned I can do what ever it takes to get results!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to help our city and its children we can do it. The answers are not hard please help me find a handful of caring people. The crime task force meets the forth tuesday at 6 pm at Trails West Library. Please feel free to call me or stop by and see me at my shop Little Bits 24th street and Sterling. I am not on 23rd street . The city calls my group The 23rd Street Corridor Crime Task Force. I am The Independence Crime Task Force for the people of Independence. Contact me at 252-2487. Lets start a fire in the hearts of the people. This is a great city lets show we care. We need the bloggers to fan the flames of change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can make a Difference . You can help make Independence a better place to live . Please come to the Town Hall Meetings . We have 2 more . Our Police Chief and Fire Chief want to hear from you , Please come and tell them your concerns . They have made time for us. We should not let them down . Make a difference, Show you care, Show Up ! ! ! The Independence Business Crime Task Force will not be held on March 24th. We will be supporting the town hall meeting.

Hello to anyone who reads this you came to the crime tag because you care about crime in Our City. Would you like to know what you can do about it. Would you just like to talk to people who care and understand . Please feel free to talk to us. We would love to help you. Just as we need to BREAK THE CYCLE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WE MUST BREAK THE CYCLE OF CRIME IN INDEPENDENCE TOO. Abuse and Crime have many faces. It's history in Our City is a GREAT TRAGEDY. Our City and YOUR FAMILY are meant for Greater Things than alcohol,drugs and abuse. Know your rights. Learn how to get help and document your case and protect your family. The City of Independence can heal only with team work. Do you want to be part of the team? The best things in life are free. Join with us. With a call , email or a  monthly meetings. Join with us at  choir practice in frount of City Council. I know it maybe hard for some to believe, but Iam a very shy person. You maybe too. Our City Council has made me a better person.  With them I have learned it's no big deal to speak at  the Council meeting. It has become GREAT FUN. It is my hope more of you will sign up for Choir Practice with us. We are talking about politics, the laws, schools and LIFE. Welcome Ryan. Thanks for joining in with us. I for one LOVE your new blog spot. I have always wanted to understand gang life more. Thanks for letting us have a class act explain to us about their mind sets, what they are, and why kids get sucked into them. Thanks also for having the shoplifter from my shop Little Bits on your blog spot.  Iam tired of people who think they have some type of rite to do what ever they want. Things need to change we can no longer give these people our Blessings to ROB us. Thank you Ryan for your help.

I'm interested in hearing how the City Council was rude to you.

Seems like you and I need to keep in-touch on what's going on and see if we can work together. I head a crime-watch over on west Winner Road. Residences-only (I think there's only one or two businesses within our neighborhood's boundaries and one of those is Hawthorne B&B.)

But we're fighting crime over here and I think networking with other crime watches is one very effective thing we can do to help reduce overall crime in Independence.

You seem to write very well, so in order to get your message to as many as possible, why not prepare a piece for the Examiner to publish as an oped, say as a guest columnist? This, in conjunction with the blog, would reach just about every household in town. Explain, in detail, just what a crime task force is; how it is formed, what is the function, what its members do, how much time will it require of the individual, etc..Some of us have difficulty attending meetings. What role can we play within the task force? Remember, some of us have absolutely no idea what it is you are doing. That doesn't mean we don't care, we are just ignorant, so fill us in as thoroughly as possible.

I am so bad at this please feel free to call me anytime at work my number is 252-2487 I am at work 7 happy days a week . I have wrote about the crime task force in this paper my favorite paper. They have had 10 to 12 frount page stories about us. You have reached out to us we need all of your help !!! I have meetings to help educate people about the problems we all are facing in our city. I would love to speak to you or have your address so I can mail you some info. We need people making phone calls to our city officials. Writting letters to them and the news papers. We can take back our city and clean up the crime if only we could all stick together !!! Look at a snowflake its so little you cant , but look what happens when they all stick together !!! WOW that could be us, as it was when we took back our schools !!! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I look forward to working with you.

Don't get discouraged and keep up the good work.
Did U see 60 minutes, the USC football coach, Carol is doing the same type of thing in LA and it is working.
We have to give the young people a choice, that they can live good clean lives and have fun and be proud.
That the can have a good life. Porter from the EX is very passionate about this too, and he could be very good help.
I'll do what ever I can to help. I'll call U Wed.

I dont know much aqbout how to take this on I know movement is GOOD !!!!!!!!! Thanks for the new HOPE FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love stories about Cory Booker the Mayor of Newark. We need a Mayor like him. Thanks again for the help!!!!!!!!!!!! And the tips.

Our City needs to provide current info regarding the awareness and identification of the street  gangs we are dealing with. Our City must be dedicated to help push out the criminal street gangs and their violence that threatens all of us. Our City must understand it's NOW or NEVER to reclaim Our Streets Our Schools Our Children and Our City. The influx of crime has come from them. Our City can no longer refuse to acknowledge publicly that we have this problem. The more Our City theats them like Ghost the more Our City will GUARANTEE their unchecked growth to Haunt us. Information does not lie. The good people of Indep. must be informed. Look around do you see all the Graffiti? Look at all the Poke-a-Dots that are trying hard to cover this problem. Look at all the cars that drive around with trash bag windows. Look at all the empty store frounts.Drugs-Vandalism-Burglaries-Stolen Autos-Drive-by Shootings-Robbery at Gun Point-Are-Gangs and their VIOLENCE. Our Citizens Task Force Goals are to Support, Train and Protect All Who We Hold Dear. Please ask Our City Leaders "Is It Good For The Children Not To Address This?" Bullies and Criminals Always Take The EAZY Roads and Cities. Join with Us the 4Th. Tuesday At Trails West Library 6:00-7:30 each month except the month of December or contact us at 252-2487
