Jeff Fox's Story On COMBAT
With the state of Missouri leading the nation in meth bust. With 4.7 percent of Missouri high school seniors one of every 21 telling they have tried meth at least once. (that came from a federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey.) The voters of Jackson County need to have Jeff Fox's stories from todays Examiner about COMBAT in their hands and heart. Say No to Meth that breeds crime, destroys families and communities. Say yes to prevention and treatment. Say yes to Protecting Communities and Healing Families with voting YES for COMBAT.
MUDDOGS You May Not Have To Wait For Hell To Freeze Over To Get Help For Your Field!!!
Well Well The Good Old Blogs have worked their magic once again. The City of Independence must LOVE the blogs. It always puts them in such a unique light. I only wish all the readers would join in with us because this is just such a great way to network and to build partnerships. It's so good to see the parks get cleaned up. xox
Mud Dogs Help Is On The Way
Hello Mud Dogs I went to bat for you so to speak. I used your blogs to speak before The City Council. The city said they had no idea your baseball field had a problem. The only problem they knew of was the drainage problem on your fields. They are going to look into it and take care of you so what do you think of that? I am happy for you. I will blog more to you in the morning. xox
Man in Fairmount has been robbed of all that he owned
A nice lady just left my shop who told me her neighbor who is retired was robbed of all he owned when he took his wife to the unemployment office yesterday. We have an eyewitness who saw a Gray Ford F1 50 in the front of the home. The driver was said to be 35-40 years of age. These people need our help. They live on Evanston. This may not be much to go on but keep your eyes open. If I lost all that I had I would hope people would try and help me. This is all I know. He lost all of his TV's microwave and much more. He was crying out in his front yard when he got home.

Timberwind Apts. Round 2
This is round 2 with Timber Wind Apartments. My friends who live at 15th Street South and Scott back up to this Apartment Complex. They both have lived in their homes for many years. They pay their taxes and both keep beautiful yards both front and back. They both have been victims of illegal dumping for years. Last time I blogged on this they took care of it for my one friend. Now trash is back in her yard again and her neighbor has asked me to please blog again. Once again I did meet with the manager. Once again I offered to help clean it up with him. That was last week.

My Side Of Town
Hello Bloggers my side of town has a new look down the street from my house. We had an old school house that at times was full of Graffiti, Weeds and Eye Sores. I have blogged about it in the past. Now last Saturday the Little School House had a big Open House for F.C.A. The Family Christian Academy. I could never put into words what this means to me. I spoke about this in a speech I gave at a LINK Cluster meeting how this Little School House could be a home of a community center for our children. I also had a pastor friend of mine look at it.
THE COMBAT TAX
Bloggers Dave Hellings story in The Kansas City Star hit me hard on Monday, September 28th, 2009. I did not know this too will be a "Special Election." I have a serious dislike to any type of wasting of taxpayers money. Why must we waste any money at this especially difficult time for so many families in Jackson County? We just got through with an election of a single issue tax in August. Now we have yet another single issue county wide election with maybe an add on or two in smaller districts.
Take Back Our City!
What an honor it was for some 35 to 40 neighborhood residents and business owners to show up at The Trails West Library last night for our Crime Task Force meeting to learn more about COMBAT. Mike Sanders our County Executive was his charming self with Stacey Daniels-Young the COMBAT Director. They make a great team. They both have leadership skills that actually empowers people to have reason to believe in hope. Hope that can change minds and hearts.
