I am posting this to ask you all to keep a lookout for any suspicious behavior at the corner of Noland Road and Osage. Christopher's friends and family discovered early Sunday morning that someone had gone where the ghost bike and cross are at that location and tried to steal the bike, knocked over the flower urns, tried to tear up the pictures, and generally tried to destroy the memorial. Christopher's father is devastated by this unbelievable act of cruelty and disrespect, as he spends a lot of time there and keeps it neat and cleaned up. The bike's handles were bent and the spokes were torn up.
We are still shocked that someone would do this. It's almost like a desecration. Please keep your eyes open while driving by.
This coming Sunday, we are doing a cleanup of Christopher's mile, if anyone is interested in helping. We will meet at 10 AM at the triangle located at the intersection of Noland and Fair across from Quik Trip.
