I have enough cruel and ugly people to deal with at this point in my life, and I don't want any more. Politics, Media, Rumors, & History

There have been stories, rumors and mis-speak going on for as long as their have been political parties in this country and in other around the world. Many of these mis-spoken comments, rumors, etc are generally started by someone who usually has no idea what they are talking about in the first place. Unfortunately these things start to take on a life of their own, and the media, both national and local, get sucked in and make more out of these things than they are. The senator from Illinois, the governor from Alaska, the senator from Arizona, and the senator from Delaware all have their strong traits and positions and they also have weakness. Many of us take personally comments made on TV or radio, or on the computer, blogs, etc. In the grand scheme of things much of this is not that important. Thank God and those who are willing to serve our nation that we have the freedom to talk, blog, listen and report on those things and also the truth.
Now a brief history lesson: our 16th President Abe Lincoln, had no formal education (no he didn't go to Harvard, Yale, or even UMKC. He served very briefly in the state legislature and a couple of terms in Congress before becoming (most agree) our greatest president. Likewise, another Mt. Rushmore face, Theodore Roosevelt although well educated, only served a couple of years as Under-Secretary of the Navy, servce in the Spanish/American War, and less than two years as Governor of New York before President McKinley chose him to be his running mate in 1900. Remember six months later T. R. was president when McKinley was killed. By the way, Roosevelt was 42 years old, and Lincoln was 52. We have also had some presidents/vice presidents who had little experience and it showed (Jimmy Carter is a good example). We have also had very qualified presidents who were flops (Nixon and Grant come to mind).
I don't know which person, or party will be successful on November 4th, but I do know that if you don't vote, you have no voice. And if you want your candidate to win, you need to vote, and vote for who you think is best, not because you don't like the other person.
Finally, if you are tired of the same old mud slinging, then work or vote for change. But also don't allow the parties or canidiate to speak negative and when people want to be negative, remind then that you want to hear the positive only.

Why go out and vote when both of the candidates are one in the same? One won't truly define his "change" he will bring about to this country and the other won't define "victory" for these ridiculous uncalled for wars. From what I've read and the interviews I've heard of the two candidates, there is no difference between the two at all. I believe the next president has already been pre-selected anyways, I don't care how crazy that sounds but thats what I believe. So I'm not voting simply because I don't want to "waste my vote" not by writing in someone else's name , but by voting for one of the two candidates when there is no difference between. I still think its funny how on the news they call the election Commitment '08 and Decision '08 when theres no one good to decide on to vote for. If people really think that this country is still ran by the VOICE OF THE PEOPLE then they really need to wake up because we are pretty much in a communist state already but the media or our fearless leaders in government won't tell us that. Look into it and study it out for yourselves. Ever since 9/11, the American people have basically gave in and handed over their personal liberties and freedoms in hopes for receiving a little personal safety and security. That is something that our Founding Fathers were very against. Benjamin Franklin said we deserve neither if we give up our liberties for security. What kind of security has our government really provided us with anyways? Wiretapping in on all of our phone calls, cameras on the interstates and highways and at almost every traffic intersection so they can "monitor traffic. Give me a break. Other than the tangent I just went off on, all I'm saying is it doesn't matter who wins, because neither one of them won't be looking out for the peoples best interests and won't bring about any real "change" that will better this country.

My best Internet friend says exactly the same things as you do. But I'm not that pessimistic yet. I agree that Bush Jr's years have been horrible. But I think things will get better when he leaves office soon. I can't agree that both of the major party candidates are the same and the winner has been predetermined (unless the Supreme Court intervenes again like they did with Bush/Gore). I agree that it would do no good to vote for anyone other than one of the the two major party candidates. But I thought it would be good for YOU to write in a name just for your own feeling that you did what you could. Personally, if I vote at all (I say that mainly cause I've moved, so I guess I'm not even registered now, and you are not either unless you reregistered) it will be for Obama, even tho I had never heard of him before he ran for President. I'm afraid McCain would continue too many of Bush Jr's policies.

The one thing to remember Largro everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I honestly think both parties shouldn't get it and we choose two more for president. I'm not much for either one of the candidates, I think they both will pick off right where Bush is leaving, Obama will just do it in a different way. There again I'm not going to vote anyways..... LOL

Yes....
I would, but in all reality I have seen the pics that everyone is talking about and her daughter does look like she just had a kid and mom doesn't. To me if I was put in that position and considering it is politics, I would just try to shelter the children from the public eye as much as possible. It doesn't always help and I realize that, but I have seen pics of Palin throughout the last year and she doesn't look pregnant and there are things that doesn't add up. Like leaking fluid, going on for a 30 minute speech and flying 11 hours back home to have a baby. The doctors wouldn't allow it and would want her hospitalized for that, not to mention she didn't tell anyone including pilot and stewardess about it. There are things that don't add up.
I don't care if she had the kid or if it is her grandson, the point is the baby has issues that need to be tended for and everyone needs to stay out of the issue. I'm not trying to bash anyone or be cruel, I'm just stating my point of view and I will have to agree with CC she didn't look pregnant. In all reality welcome to politics and the cruelity of it!
I just currently found out that Bristol her daughter is 5 months pregnant that is why she looks it. I have a friend that lives in Alaska and has cleared all rumors. Trig is Palins' son and her daughter is due around christmas! Merry christmas to the Palin family!

I wish I could change everything that has happened to you and to your beautiful family, just remember not to hold everything in and talk it out. You have been through so much in the last few months and the Pujols family cannot tell you that god won't forgive you guys for not wanting to forgive them. In all reality you probably have forgiven the family just not the killer himself. That will come in time if it ever does, you have lost a jewel out of your ring and now that ring is unraveling. Christopher has not forgiven them yet and until you get the feeling that he has forgiven it is impossible for you to forgive. Right now you and your family are very fragile and sensitive as which you should be, I will keep an eye on when the next court date is and meet you there. You know you and your family are in my prayers and you will stay there until all of you get the justice you deserve.
Just don't leave the blog because someone hopefully was having a bad day, I am trying to contact him over it.

Being kicked when you are down is a dastardly thing to do. From the point of view of the perpetrator, this act was probably the only thing that they thought would erase the evil they have done.
For the glory that memorializes reigns from the angels above, who see Christopher’s shrine and weep for love lost that you held in your heart. They do not sit passively but rather sing out to all who see there must be atonement and reverence for life.
Those that cannot bear to be remembered are driven mad by the attention and move to tear down the place of honor, which they believe they can never achieve.
