Are you ready for some football?

Just picked up my credentials for the Chiefs and can't believe the new look of Arrowhead Stadium. It's going to serve as the perfect partner to the new and improved Kauffman Stadium within the friendly confines of the Truman Sports Complex.
I'm usually not that enthusiastic about a preseason game, but I want to see the Pioli-Healy era Chiefs, even though it's the first exhibition game of the season. It will be interesting to see what Haley's no-nonsense approach with the team produces in regards to penalties and the silly mistakes that plagued the team the past two years.
I'm not saving my money for a trip to the Super Bowl, but I believe the team will be better than last year's - if it's not, there might be a fan revolt at One Arrowhead Drive.
While construction is going on at Arrowhead, the same is true at both Blue Springs and Blue Springs South high schools. The new press box and stands at Blue Springs are beyond belief. I'm still trying to figure out how you can walk from the gym directly into the pressbox area -- pretty nifty design and performance by the crews who seemingly work around the clock.
Both schools are getting much needed areas for coaches, meeting rooms, locker rooms and classrooms. It's a mess now, but when it's all done, it's going to be amazing.
