What ever happened to respect your elders?

Last night I got  a phone call from my mother stating my father was in an accident but was ok, I of course immediately panicked. I said where? She told me they were at 39th and Noland rd. When I arrived at the scene my father was in the ambulance. I looked at the car and said mom I thought you were in an accident she said we were. Come to find out an off duty paramedic pulled into the parking lot and tapped my mother in the leg with the bumper of his truck. Of course he was on his cell phone when he did it. When he exited his vehicle she told him he had tapped her and that it was rude of him to do so. He then cursed at her so my dad told him he should apologize but the man continued to be irrate so my dad called him a name back and he then shoved my father and he hit his head on the bumper of the man's truck causing my dad to immediately lose his memory. I found out the man was aprox. 360 lbs. and 6'-?" also in his 20's-30's. My dad is almost 60 years old and 5'-9" 185lbs. I think this is rediculous. The man should not have done this especially being a paramedic. What is the world coming to?

My mother made the report since my father couldn't remember anything. Although his memory came back shortly after the incident. My father lost his memeory due to the trama to his head from hitting the guy's bumper. There were words exchanged by both parties I am not saying that there wasn't, my point in this blog is that there was no reason to take it as far as it went. The man had no right to lay his hands on a a man double his age, let alone the fact that his job is working with the community.

To answer some questions, yes the man was arrested and gone by the time I got there. I don't know if his employer was contacted and I don't know exactly who he works for he had stated at the scene after he did what he did that he was a paramedic and he could look at him to see if he was hurt. My mother told him no he did enough to stay away and the guy stayed there and admitted what he had done. I don't know why the examiner did not cover this story, they are more than welcome to if they want.

O.K. Examiner. Here we have a story of assault and bodily injury. The victim evidently was taken somewhere by ambulance. The alleged assailant was reportedly issued a citation. I don't recall any report printed in the Examiner. Did your reporters miss this happening?

story still doesn't make a lot of sense ?
memory he lost was probably of HIM calling the guy, who stopped to HELP him, a"MF" or an "A$$H" ???????

You say your father was in the ambulance when you got there. I would assume from that the Police were called. Did they issue a citation to anybody? Who did the paramedic work for? Did anybody notify his employer concerning his attitude and actions? Please complete your story. Since this was at 39th and Noland should there not have been a mention in the Examiner? This is the sort of thing I would expect a local newspaper to report.

if ur dad was n the amb, did the guy throw him out to hit his head on the bumper?

Was a police report filed?

right on, guy shouldn't have that job
