Sales-tax double-take

I just wanted to relay this to you-all:

Last Friday night, my wife and I ended up at Zona Rosa.  We ate at the Mexican Restaurant there.  The food was good.

But my eyes about popped out of my head when I saw the bill....not because of the cost of the food.... but rather.... the 11% sales tax !!

Yikes!

Kansas City Royals right-handed pitcher Zack Greinke today was the overwhelming choice as the 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner in balloting by the Baseball Writers Association of America.  Greinke’s Cy Young season is the fourth in Royals history as he becomes the third pitcher to win the award, joining two-time winner Bret Saberhagen (1985, 1989) and David Cone (1994).

Heavy Metal Music Good Or Bad

I like listening to Heavy Metal. I hear good and bad stuff said about it occasionally.  I'd enjoy discussing everything about this music, both from a positive standpoint, and also from the negative. I even heard were all devil worshippers. Well, I'm not. I can't speak for everyone. They go on TV claiming there not, then again I'd probably not go on there saying otherwise myself. Jump in and give me all your thoughts.  A bit of history would be nice, I'm dumb about that one.

Baggers And Saggers

An intersting style of dress hit the streets all those many years ago. Kids running around with pants hanging way down low, underwear staring everyone in the face as the warmth of summer arrived.  At first I hated it, but, all things new usually grow on me as well. Since this time I have read where this fashion was associated with gang activity in its origin. I do not know, but I never thought the kids doing it were gangsters. Just kids making a statement, as we all did. Now years later I see all sorts of clothing that I credit stemming from this teen fashion statement.
